Create a "Fund" in Honor of an Event or Person

Direct Change provides anyone wishing to honor an event (wedding, baby shower etc.) or an individual with the tools to create their own "Fund." 

A "Fund" is a webpage that allows your friends, relatives and acquaintances to make donations to specific project(s) that you choose to honor the event or person. 

Once the page is created, you will then have a unique web address that you can provide to others through email or printed notices.  As the creator of the Fund you will have access to reports that will list contributors with their contact information so that you can follow up with thank you notes.


  

Make a Donation in Honor of an Event or Person

The following are instructions for individuals wishing to make a donation as a gift to another person, in honor of another person or in memory of another person.  Donations are processed through Network for Good. You will have a chance to send an eCard to the person at the end of making a donation. 

  1. Visit Direct Change's donation page at Network for Good.
  2. If you would like the donation to be dedicated to a specific project (see the Direct Change Project Directory) and/or be credited to a specific user Fund (see directory) then enter the name of project and/or the Fund name under "Designation."
  3. Under "Dedication or Gift" enter the name of the person you are giving a gift to or honoring.
  4. After you make the donation you will be able to send an eCard to someone that will let them know you made a donation.
